Oak Ridges Men's Recreational Hockey League Refund Policy

At the Oak Ridges Men’s Hockey League, we understand that circumstances may arise that necessitate a refund of registration fees. Please review the following refund policy for details on eligibility and the refund process.

Refund Eligibility:

  1. Injury or Medical Condition:
    • A player who sustains a season-ending injury or develops a medical condition preventing participation may be eligible for a refund.
    • A written medical certificate from a licensed healthcare professional must be submitted for consideration.
  2. Relocation:
    • Players who relocate to an area outside the league’s geographical boundaries before the start of the season may be eligible for a refund.
    • Proof of relocation, such as a utility bill or official document, must be provided.
  3. League Cancellation:
    • In the event that the Oak Ridges Men’s Hockey League cancels the entire season for any reason, players will be entitled to a full refund of their registration fees.

Cancellation Fee:

  1. Player Initiated Cancellation:
    • A cancellation fee of $150.00 will apply to players who voluntarily quit the league during the season.
    • The cancellation fee will be deducted from any eligible refund amount.

Refund Process:

  1. Submission of Request:
    • To request a refund, eligible players or their guardians must submit a written request along with supporting documentation to the league’s administration.
  2. Review and Approval:
    • All refund requests will be reviewed by the Oak Ridges Men’s Hockey League administration.
    • Approval or denial of a refund will be communicated in writing to the player or their guardian.
  3. Refund Amount:
    • If eligible, the refund amount, after deducting the $150.00 cancellation fee, will be processed within [X] days of approval.
