2020-2021 Season

RMRHL Members,

I hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer. First off, we wanted to thank everyone for their continued support as we try to get back on to the ice for our 39th season. As you can imagine, Oaks hockey might be a bit different this year and we are working closely with the Town of Richmond Hill to confirm what that looks like. We have completed the return to play protocol, and submitted it to the town for approval.

Providing we get the permits, we will inform the membership of the league’s hockey offering this year. Hopefully, we get the same ice at Bond Lake but, we’re unsure of that at this time.

If our permit remains the same, We will run two mini leagues containing 4 team in each with 10 players per team. Leagues will not inter-mix. There will be a small list of 6 shared spares per league to off set absences. Spaces will be limited due to the government and town imposed league maximum of 50 players, so spaces will fill up quickly!

Our hope is in the next few weeks we will be able to confirm the requirements and we will inform everyone of costs and how the league will run.

We remain committed to providing the best hockey experience in the GTA…….even during a pandemic! Jerseys for next season are also in the mix and we are currently looking for sponsors. For those interested in sponsoring our league, please email myself or Brian Jagger for details.

Thanks,

The Executive.
